Abiding Blooms offers compassionate therapy that’s genuine and warm.  Whether you’re feeling stuck or facing something new,  I’m here to collaborate with you.

I value creating a safe space for you to process desires and disappointments, so that you feel heard. I believe your story matters, and l would be honored to hear yours.

I see women located in Texas, ages 18+ in the comfort of their space through a HIPPA-compliant telehealth session. I am committed to evidence-based therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, trauma-informed care, and an integrated approach (body, mind, soul, and spirit). Therapy may also include nervous system regulation and story work. Telehealth is not appropriate for crisis intervention or management.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I’ve worked with women to address  the following issues:

  • Transitions like college, career, and motherhood

  • Depression, anxiety, and stress (mild to moderate)

  • Grief and loss

  • Conflict and relationship issues

  •  Shame, body image, self-worth

  •  Chronic illness

  • ADHD strategies and emotional support

  • Purpose and identity development

  • Christian growth

Counseling from a Christian perspective is available upon request, and I welcome working with you wherever you are on your spiritual journey. Come as you are.

Connecting-Abiding-Transforming

Jessica Bargenquest, MA, LPC, CATP

Everyone has a story, and I love providing space for women to feel heard, known, and supported. The desire to help others in this way stirred when I was a teenager.

I am a native Texan who earned a BA in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked in various mental health settings, but I have also subbed in our local school district and written adoption home studies.

For a season I took a career break to focus on raising our children. Being a wife and mother has shaped me and added not only to my personal toolkit, but also to my professional growth. I value connection and transformation as a wife, mother,  friend and therapist.

When I’m not in the office, I love simple, focused time with family and friends. I love quiet early mornings reading my Bible, Diet Coke over coffee, baking, historical fiction, walking and working out! My husband and I have 3 children and a dog named Tater Tot.

Appointments

Thank you for letting me be a part of your story. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible, so here is what you can expect.

Abiding Blooms offers individual online therapy for women 18+. You must be located in Texas for services.

For our appointments, you need a private comfortable space, free from distractions, and an internet ready device. Abiding Blooms uses an online HIPPA secure platform called Simple Practice. After your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a link for joining the video call about 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

Your first appointment is the intake session in which we get to know each other, go over your history, and discuss your hopes or goals for therapy. This appointment is 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments will last 50 minutes. They are scheduled according to your needs and my availability. A part of the process is building therapeutic rapport and trust. I want to create a safe space for you as we process. I’m here to honor your willingness and courage in seeking therapy.

Please note that Abiding Blooms does not take insurance at this time. Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Most major credit cards are accepted. I have a discounted rate package for college students who are financially independent and need assistance, but spots are limited.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost.
